Something Useful. How to make a screen shot.

Hey Everyone,

I think this is rather funny and it just shows how much of a procrastinator I am. I just learned how to make and edit a screen shot. I’m still learning the basics, but it’s a start right?

So for those more pathetic than I, here ya go:

Find the screen you want to take a shot of ( even if you only want part of it ).
Hit “Alt+prt sc / sys rq”.
Don’t worry that nothing has happened yet.
Just open your “paint” program Start/All Programs/Accessories/Paint
Now Edit/Paste
Cool Huh?

Since you probably only want part of the screen, use the “Select” tool ( thing, whatever ) to choose what part of the screen you want to focus on..

================
NEW SKILL ALERT!!
================

Just hold down your left mouse key and drag over the portion of the page that you want to save.

Now that you have the piece of the page you want, go up to edit/cut.
NextFile/New ( hit NO when asked if you want to save )
Now go back to Edit / Paste
There ya go, you should have a really cool screen shot that you can edit further; add circles, text, and black out stuff using the “spray paint” tool.

When your done go to file / Save as..

So Easy a Phil can do it

There might be an easier way to do all this but that’s just what I just learned this hour.

Until next time, thanks to everyone for their comments, ideas, and messages.
