Great article Phil. I am new on the scene somewhat and want to do all I can to build up a downline. I have signed up under you for wordlinx and am set to follow you on twitter. Shoot me an email when you get the chance.

Hi There,
I would absolutely like to read more about your GDI progress, I recently joined just like Rebecca from the People Search-thingy, which led to the webpage I added here, if in case anyone just wants to take a look at what you get (the domain is hosted by GDI, the extra content from several affiliate programs, the core with people-searching is from the PS Tissa-guy). Please inform us poor semi-dedicated beings out here that still wish to take the right two or three steps, compared to the twenty or thirty ones you probably will take, mistakes and trials included ;o). You are doing great with your blog!

@Rebecca Beasley
Thanks Becky!! I'm still going full steam ahead with GDI, but this gives me more insight. I'm actually looking at three people that I would love to help by paying their way in for three months ( Ryan, Adam and Ellie ) up front. Only because I know that they would be great team leaders / sponsors and are honest, hardworking, and would be great for my team. I think that the key to my success will be promoting teamwork and honesty and of course not being greedy.
I haven't even explored the website / hosting. It really wasn't something I was interested in... although the email is pretty darn cool.
Thank you again
Your comment was very helpful

I've been in GDI three times and I guess I lost my focus..or never had it to begin with but I could never make a go of it. I've gotten in all three times through another program that promised to "help me build my gdi downline" and got absolutely no support from them. One was the spiderweb marketing system and the last one was the people search thing being touted all over the internet as the next Google. (yeah right)

Oh and let's not forget those people who promise to pay your way in. All that ever seems to do is perpetuate laziness. Yeah they pay your first month, but once they get their quota and their big fat check they forget all about you. In the meantime they have everyone working frantically to send them at least two people to help pay them back for their trouble and you have problems getting them for yourself and where are they then?

There was only one thing about GDI that I didn't like and that was for me the hosting wasn't enough for the type of sites I build. They don't allow for script setup. It's windows only, no linnux, so it just wasn't worth my while. But as far as being able to make money I guess it's a pretty good program for getting newbies in.

Anyway, good luck to you, hope you do better than I did.

Great information. Yes I would be interested in hearing about your GDI experience. I joined GDI when it first started and didn't stay in (Loud Groan in the background). Recently I was convinced to take another look at it by someone I trust and now am a GDIer or whatever we are called.

I am marketing it as a hosting service with a money making opportunity instead of a money making opportunity that happens to have a hosting service thrown in and my fried was right. You can still make money with GDI even though as one person put it, "Everybody and their dog has heard about GDI." Only took a couple of weeks and now it is paying for itself.

Keep us posted and any ideas would be great.

Thanks
Bo Tipton

P.S I like your open and approachable writing style.

Thanks guys!! Fine, I'll get something set up for GDI. I can promise you though.. I'm probably not going to call it a "Journal".

Not a word out of place. I would be very interested to know how you get on with GDI. I've always discounted it as just another Pyramid scheme so any news of your efforts would be gratefully received.
