Is Schnaap Klicks a Snap…( err Schnaap )?

December 19th, 2010 7 comments

Okay, so maybe the holiday season has something to do with my less than exciting ad results this month. Not just advertising results but the quality of the referrals I’ve picked up. Should I do a better job of graphing my results and then seeing if there’s a pattern month after month and year after year?

Are there months when ads pull better?

Are there months when people are more receptive to not only joining a new program, but also staying active once they join?

I’m thinking that A.D.D. becomes an epidemic in December and everyone is just a bit scatter brained and impatient; Santa’s coming you know! Earning a few cents a day might not be as exciting as hoping for that new black Wii under the Christmas tree.

Whatever the reason this is a perfect example of why I wrote my last post; “Can you Afford to Make Money Online”. Sometimes ( often ) our ad campaigns just don’t pull as well as previous campaigns. It really would have sucked if I had used credit card money or our Christmas cash this month, and expected to pull a profit. So of course, I didn’t, and I DON’T.

So to be honest I’m really not all that upset that this months ad campaigns blew chunks, because I only used money that I was already earning or earned online. I still managed to increase my daily earnings. Just not quite as much as I’d hoped.

One of the new sites I upgraded in and started promoting this month is Schnaap Klicks. I joined this PTC early in November and sat on it for a few weeks. I logged in a couple times a week to click my ads and stay active. I liked the different upgrade options and high click value and being a sucker for a promising referral program, I really liked the added commissions from referral upgrades.

Since I had some nice additional paydays from Treasure Trooper, Link Grand ( monthly bulletin winner ) and Hits4Pay, I decided to use a portion of those earnings to buy a six month upgrade in Schnaap Klicks and do a bit of promoting for referrals.

As mentioned at the start of this post my results were less than thrilling. Only 45 referrals this week for Schnaap Klicks. That might sound good to a lot of you, but consider that I moved about $100 in online earnings ( almost real money ) into ads on ClixSense and expected at least 60 to 90 new referrals. I’d be happy with the forty five refs if I had a few more actives in the bunch, but most of this batch is pretty lazy and not really clicking a whole lot. I expect a few to wake up and become more active, but only time will tell.

The good news is that Schnaap Klicks pays pretty darn fast. It’s not instant, but my first two payments came within a few hours. Very happy about that.

So is Schnaap Klicks a Snap?

So far, YES! Click values range from one to five cents and there is a consistent amount of “other than admin” ads to click on everyday. I haven’t seen any five cent ads yet but I have come across more than a few three center’s.

Daily Ad Clicks

My early advertising results are not a warning sign that this program isn’t going to be a consistent earner; I’m just having an off month. I think I’ll wait until the holidays are over before I run another ad campaign. I intend to see consistent weekly paydays with Schnaap so I’ll definitely keep promoting.

Upgrades: I like the fact that there are four upgrade options. I took the six month upgrade for now. This was a safe upgrade for me because: 1- I could afford it and 2 – If something happens and Schnaap falls apart, I’m not too depressed about being out of an additional thirty bucks. Plus I promote for referrals. If I had no intention of growing my downline to earn me additional commissions then Upgrading wouldn’t be worth it.

**side note – remind me to write a new post titled “When it makes Cents to Upgrade”**

So all in all, I’m digging Schnaap Klicks and have made it a part of my daily clicking routine. Of course I’ll let you guys know how my next ad campaign goes; you’ll just have to wait until January.

I need to think of a good end of year post to write. Any ideas?

Free Internet Money.Biz .. Review

It’s really no secret that I love Paid to Click / Paid to Read programs. I honestly feel and have proven that they are not only an awesome way to earn money, but an even awesomer way to build downlines in other programs. Most of the PTC’s I’m involved in allow me to convert my earnings into advertising credits on any given day. Which means I get to advertise a few times a week. The more I advertise ( promote my affiliate links ) the more money I earn from my referrals. The more money I earn from my referrals, the more I get to advertise for more referrals and so on and so on. Basically, when my referrals make money, I make money. It’s really a win win for the patient and persistent.

So when do I get to enjoy some of that money my referrals have so graciously earned me?

Well if you read my last post ( after the talk about dogs, wieners and tee shirts ), that money came in handy this month when we were a bit strapped for cash. Sure I was a bit bummed that my ad budget wasn’t what I hoped it would be, but keeping food on the table, the internet bill paid and gas in my 4Runner was a bit more of a priority. June is going to be a lot more fun. More advertising for me ( $$ ).

Anyways…

Aside from loving and understanding the value of PTC / PTR programs. I also love down line builders. Throw the two together and you’ve got my attention. Which brings me to..

Free Internet Money.Biz

What is it?
It’s basically a downline builder just for Paid to Click programs, with the exception of one other non PTC program way at the bottom.

One of the main advantages of using “down line builders”, is that we get to promote several of our favorite programs at once through one convenient link ( URL ). Potentially gaining more referrals for multiple programs with less effort. The disadvantage is that we take the emphasis off promoting just one opportunity at a time.

Why I like Free Internet Money.Biz“, is because it focuses mostly on “well established” Paid to Click programs. Primarily my top seven!! Hits4Pay, Link Grand, “MatrixMails”, NeoBux, ClixSense, WordLinx, and “AdPaid”. I’m a bit bummed that “donkeymails” didn’t make the list, but until I create my own downline builder, I’m not going to complain too much. Although, I do question a couple of the PTC’s on the list, I did join a couple new one’s.

I’ll only endorse, for now, the program’s I mentioned above.

I also love the fact that’s it’s FREE to join and use, has some great instructional video’s and is “hype” free. The owner and creator of Free Internet Money never suggests that we can make any more than $600-$800 a month. Of course our efforts decide our actual earnings potential, six to eight hundred dollars a month is definitely an attainable and realistic goal.

So yeah, big thumbs up for Free Internet Money.Biz.

Hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable memorial day weekend. My wife and kids are out of town so I get a bit of “me” time. Which means I get to work work and work. At least the house will be clean for a couple days.

Oh and here’s a little tip. Don’t neglect your surveys! Building an advertising budget ( seed money, working capital ) to build your down lines is as simple as focusing on making an additional $2 a day ( $60 a month ). Where to spend that money is up to you, but I highly recommend ClixSense.

A bit of motivation and “Hey Cool, I won five bucks!”

I don’t know if it was the whole spring break thing that jinxed me or what, but my ads really weren’t pulling as usual last week. What should have been a forty to fifty new referral week, turned into a twenty three referral week. Ten for NeoBux and thirteen for LinkGrand.

… to quote Eddy..

“Sometimes you hit ‘em out of the park, sometimes your left scratching your head wondering what the F@#k”

Okay, so that wasn’t an exact quote, but pretty damn close, and another reason why we should never assume we are going to see the same results from our previous success’s. We’ll talk more about this in a future post.

So yeah, slow week online, but honestly. It’s normal. Some days you can do no wrong, other days you want to hunt your moms stuffed animal collection with a bow and arrow ( true story, long time ago, I’m better now ;) ). Even with the slower than hoped for week. I managed to maintain an above double increase in daily earnings for the month on NeoBux ( direct referral earnings ), and my LinkGrand daily earnings has moved up a few cents more per day. Everything else has pretty much stayed the same, except for one of my refs buying a Gold Lifetime Upgrade over at “MatrixMails”, so that was another $15 in extra commission.

Most important though, IS THAT I DIDN’T SPEND ANY OF MY OWN MONEY!!. I just kept moving the money I’m already earning, into ads on ClixSense. Yes, ClixSense is my default venue for advertising. Once again, another post on this soon.

Since I’m on the subject of ClixSense.

Ya know, in the year and whatever months that I’ve been a member of ClixSense I have really never paid attention to the ClixGrid game. ClixGrid is simple really. You have 20 chances to win a cash prize if your a free member, or 50 chances if your an upgraded member. You simple click on random parts of the grid and view members advertising for no specific period of time; either you win or you don’t.

I won $5! Sweet. Even sweeter, is that it’s instantly added to your ( MY ) account balance. More advertising money for me. Of course I don’t expect to win everyday, but I think I’ll be adding this to my daily routine from now on. Just can’t complain when it’s FREE Money.

Anyways,

The theme this month is most definitely about the patience and persistence needed to build an online business. Whether you just want to make a bit of extra spending cash or are focused on the bigger and more bad ass paydays to come later down the line. There is a bit of patience and perseverance required. It could be a half hour a day or, like Lynn, thirty six hours a day ( future millionaires require little sleep ).

Here’s a little analogy I thought of recently.

Walk into a little mom and pop store in your town or city and look behind the counter. Often you’ll see a dollar bill or even a five dollar bill displayed on the wall. That bill represents work, determination, motivation and months or even years of hard work.

We of course, don’t need to rent or lease a store or office, stock our store full of inventory, and probably won’t have to say, “Thank you for shopping at “Ed and Ethel’s – Tupperware Palace”. We just need to practice a bit of patients, work with whatever time we have available and not buy into Get Rich Quick nonsense.

Margaret ( creator and mastermind behind My Instant Biz ) wrote in her post, “How to Kill your Business in Six Simple Steps”

If you were opening a business downtown and only worked when you wanted to, never bothered to try to understand what you were doing or set your store up properly, complained to all your customers when they came through your door and decided to close your doors after the first 5 days because it was not an instant success, you would have exactly what you are going to have if you treat this business that way. Absolutely nothing!

Eddy ( yes, I feel the need to quote Eddy in most every post ) wrote in his recent update

Everyone is looking for a quick fix. Sometimes it’s justified because if you have bills to pay, the collectors don’t really practice delayed gratification. So in those cases I understand the urgency. But I’ve noticed a lot of folks who aren’t in that situation just aren’t willing to stick it out to achieve their goals. At the sign of any obstacles or failures, they’re quick to give up. Worst still, they sometimes blame others for their failures.

As I’ve said many times, “I’ve been at this awhile”. I’ve learned to build downlines, found ways to add a couple more dollars a day to my paypal account and made crap loads of mistakes, and I’ve learned that desperation, debt and depression don’t mix well. So has all this continued knowledge and constant growth made me my first million? Nope, I’m a about $980,000.23 short of that ( I made that number up ).

…but what really took me a long time to understand, is that I am indeed building a business. Leaning the basics, throwing in a tool or resource here and there, building my subscriber list for this blog ( My List ), and not giving up, even when I have bad weeks.

Phil ( philsfault ) Ames

As I was writing this post, I took a break and read Lynn’s latest. Really fits in with today’s rant..

Those that do those things are getting somewhere and getting results, even if they’re slow and steady – but even slow and steady is getting results, and patience and persistence is the key (as well as branding and promoting YOU, of course, lol). I don’t really have just “a business” – I AM my business.
