Reflections, Progress and Friends
Another Holiday has come and gone ( hope everyone had a lovely Christmas ) and another year is about to end. As I reflect back on 2009, I can’t help but feel proud of my progress as both a blogger and aspiring internet marketer.
Adding screen shots, using Instant Banner Creator for additional graphics, and including screen capture videos in most posts, I feel, has made “You will Not get Rich from this Blog” more reader ( follower ) friendly. With the screen capture videos I not only get to add a visual element when introducing a program or resource, but I also get to produce tutorials that show the how, where’s and what’s, and teach exactly what I’m doing. Trust me, it’s not rocket science. Since I’m really not all that “techy”, my videos hopefully will teach and inspire in an easy to follow and understand manner. So easy, even a Phil can do it =P
So moving forward into the new year I thought I’d reflect a bit. What programs and resources will I continue to use? What do I feel is the best opportunities to promote and grow with and most importantly…the people I’ve met and the friendships I’ve made.
In today’s post I’m going to talk a bit about the people! Those who have influenced, inspired, mentored and basically kept me going, growing and believing. It’s a long list and I’m sorry if I leave anyone out, there are quite a few of you.
Brian Rooney ( Traffic Wave / TOAN ). Ya know, I like to boast that Brian and I are friends. When in reality he’s just one of the most approachable and likable guys you could meet. When I met him almost a year ago, we talked basketball, kids and coffee. He’s the genius behind “Traffic Wave” and now “The Online Ad Network“. He’s one of the nicest and most respected business men online today. Seriously though, Brian’s everyone’s friend.
Paul Kinder! The guy behind Traffic Splash, Affiliate Funnel and many other fantastic programs. Paul is all about customer service. Be a person first, reply to your emails in a timely manner and always be there for those who need assistance. Oh and, No one pays faster than Paul.
Eddy Salomon from “Work at Home No Scams“. I met Eddy a year ago after I ran across his blog and bashed him a bit. Instead of just telling me to “f-off” he took the high road and justified himself and has since become one of my bestest online friends. As most of you know, I mention Eddies name quite a bit in this blog. Eddy keeps me growing and challenging myself. “That’s Great Phil, now do it better next time”.
Lastly, the overachieving, always sleep deprived, hardest working girl on the internet and NEW OWNER of Traffic Pro-X, the always caffeinated, Lynn McCutcheon. I’m not really sure when I met Lynn but our friendship grew out of our admiration of each others writing style, blogs and motivation. Lynn is one of the few people who gets to see my online marketing creations before I unleash ‘em on the rest of you. Her opinion is always valuable, her criticism is always appreciated, and her friendship is always sincere.
I could go on and on but the list is long and I’m already a month behind in writing a new post. Needless to say I’ve met and befriended some pretty awesome people. So for those who have taken the time to say hi and / or leave comments. Thank you!! For those who are super duper successful online and took the time to answer my stupid questions or just threw in your two cents. Thank You.
…..and for everyone else above, below and in between ( Tim Linden, John Olson, Jerry Iannuci, and John Guanzon )… Gracias, Domo, Thank you and Thank you. You’ve made my year educational and have motivated me more than you know.
Phil ( philsfault ) Ames
Oh and… let’s see if I can’t crank out a couple new posts before the new year. Wish me luck.
