Something Useful. How to make a screen shot.

May 21st, 2009 3 comments

Hey Everyone,

I think this is rather funny and it just shows how much of a procrastinator I am. I just learned how to make and edit a screen shot. I’m still learning the basics, but it’s a start right?

So for those more pathetic than I, here ya go:

Find the screen you want to take a shot of ( even if you only want part of it ).
Hit “Alt+prt sc / sys rq”.
Don’t worry that nothing has happened yet.
Just open your “paint” program Start/All Programs/Accessories/Paint
Now Edit/Paste
Cool Huh?

Since you probably only want part of the screen, use the “Select” tool ( thing, whatever ) to choose what part of the screen you want to focus on..

================
NEW SKILL ALERT!!
================

Just hold down your left mouse key and drag over the portion of the page that you want to save.

Now that you have the piece of the page you want, go up to edit/cut.
NextFile/New ( hit NO when asked if you want to save )
Now go back to Edit / Paste
There ya go, you should have a really cool screen shot that you can edit further; add circles, text, and black out stuff using the “spray paint” tool.

When your done go to file / Save as..

So Easy a Phil can do it

There might be an easier way to do all this but that’s just what I just learned this hour.

Until next time, thanks to everyone for their comments, ideas, and messages.

Deals ‘n Cash, Things are picking up.

May 19th, 2009 No comments

Has anyone else noticed the sudden increase in emails to click on, at DealsnCash? I’ve been getting at least four ads a day for the last seven days. I’m just not used to these kinds of earnings from the evil spawn of Hits4Pay. I mean it’s only an extra $0.20 cents a day, but it’s way better than the one, two cent emails I was seeing twice a week. I just might see that $30 payout before I die, after all. whoop whoop, party over here. =P

For those unfamiliar with DealsnCash and Hits4Pay. They are both Paid to Read ( PTR ) programs where you can earn some extra cash by viewing email ads from advertisers. Hits4Pay is one of the most popular and sustainable programs out there. Although, if you don’t pick up active referrals it’ll probably take you a year to get that first check. I’ve been with Hits4Pay since July 2006, and have earned $592.65. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but at this point it’s just free money. Plus I do a lot of advertising on Hits4Pay via Rent-a-List for other programs.

Okay, back to work.

Phil can cook !!

May 18th, 2009 No comments

Hi again everyone.

Did you guys know that I’m one hell of a cook? A couple years ago this website ( blog ) used to be all about my love of food and the recipes I created. Of course I had the usual assortment of affiliate links and such, but mostly it was about me sharing my kitchen creations.

So this morning I was browsing through my Yahoo hosting panel and found my recipe for my almost famous “Chile Verde”. Of course I just had to share it with you guys. My Chile Verde Recipe. Check out how this site looked a couple years ago. Clearly my cooking skills blow away my web design knowledge.

Anyways, enjoy. This was actually a very popular recipe. One really cool lady emailed me one day saying “she tripled the recipe and served it at a large Mexican Food themed college graduation party for her son”. The party was partially catered by a local Mexican restaurant, and apparently my Chile Verde was a huge hit with everyone including the restaurant owner.

Which reminds me. I do have a really great blog coming out soon devoted to food and my kitchen exploits. Not sure when I’m going to finish it, but it is in the works. So stay tuned for that, it’s going to be amazing.

That’s all. Just thought I’d share.

Phil
